Inside the Outsiders

This novel by S.E. Hinton tells a story of brothers, friendship, and innocence. Ponyboy Curtis has gone through a hard life. His parents are dead and he only has his brothers to raise him. To top it off him and all his friends have been classified as the bad kids in town, the hoods.

This book explains well the struggles of teens throughout the world, and the bonds you can make because of it. There are many strong themes that show these points in the book.

I would recommend this book to anyone who might be having a little trouble with bullies, or feels that their family doesn't love them. Any person who just wants to read a good book.

The movie was well done piece. It was very much like the book. I even heard some direct quotes. I think the feeling and themes transfered well onto film. But I don't know if the movie represented how the author wanted you to know that Soc and Grease were the same. I don't think the actors got that point.
